Borough Clerk and Administrator – Peapack & Gladstone Borough.

The Borough seeks a full-time qualified, experienced, and professional individual to serve as the Borough Clerk and Administrator, responsible for the day to day management and administration of Borough operations. This combined role works closely with the Mayor, Borough Council, department heads, professionals, and employees and requires a thorough understanding of New Jersey municipal government. The Borough has a population of 2550 and a municipal budget of $8.5 million and a Sewer Utility of $1.5 million. Key Responsibilities will be to perform all statutory Municipal Clerk duties under N.J.S.A. 40A:9 133, including preparing agendas, drafting meeting minutes, preparing public notices, processing ordinances and resolutions, issuing permits and licenses, and fulfilling OPRA/public records requests; managing Clerk’s Office operations and ensure efficient discharge of all Clerk functions; Overseeing and coordinating municipal departments; supervising staff and support departmental operations;, Assisting with preparation of the municipal budget and capital planning initiatives; preparing reports and recommendations for the governing body; Administering purchasing/public contracts, grants, and risk management functions; coordinating professional services contracts; overseeing personnel administration; labor relations/collective bargaining, and implementation of Borough policies; managing special projects, redevelopment/planning matters, and shared service agreements; Supporting municipal communications, website and social media updates; and provide customer service to the public. Attending Borough Council meetings and other evening obligations required as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in municipal clerk functions and local government administration or comparable public sector management experience. Strong working knowledge of New Jersey municipal law, budgeting, purchasing, public contracts, personnel administration, collective bargaining, and capital planning. Experience managing a semi unionized environment and familiarity with shared service agreements highly desirable. Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) required. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and customer service skills. This is a combined Borough Clerk and Borough Administrator position; Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience. Range guideline: $110,000.00 –$145,000.00 DOQ. Municipal Clerk – East Orange City.

Full-time Role and Responsibilities: Acts a secretary to the governing body and custodian of municipal records; plans and coordinates office activities in accord with state/local laws, rules, regulations and policies. • Prepares and records resolutions, ordnances, vouchers and other municipal forms. • Give assignments/instructions to subordinates and supervises their work. • Attends meetings of the governing body and maintains a journal of meeting procedures. • Serves as chief registrar of voters in the municipality; registers and transfers voters. • Swears in election officers; gives instructions to election officers. • Directs correspondence and inquiries to various municipal departments for appropriate action. • Administer and record oaths of office. • Prepares official reports for the purpose of public records. Qualifications Requirements: Education: High school diploma or High School equivalency certificate. Experience: Five (5) years of clerical experience involving responsibility for maintaining records of business transactions, Two (2) years of supervisory capacity. Municipal Clerk – Haddonfield Borough.

Population 12,550. The Borough is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and customer-focused professional to serve as its full-time Municipal Clerk.  The Borough has three Commissioners under the Walsh Act form of government. Candidates must have a Registered Municipal Clerk certification with prior experience preferred.  In addition to strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, a positive, customer service-oriented attitude is required. The position is responsible for all statutory responsibilities and duties prescribed by New Jersey law, including but not limited to serving as Secretary to the Governing Body, Custodian of Municipal Records, Chief Administrative Officer of all elections conducted within the municipality, and Administrative Officer for licenses and permits, together with all other duties required by law and assigned by the Governing Body. Municipal Clerk - Rockaway Borough.

Is seeking a qualified Municipal Clerk for this full-time statutory position under N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133 et seq. The Municipal Clerk serves as Secretary to the Governing Body and custodian of municipal records, with responsibilities including agendas, minutes, resolutions, ordinances, OPRA/OPMA compliance, election administration, and other duties as assigned that extend beyond the core statutory scope. RMC certification is required or must be obtained within the timeframe set by N.J.S.A. 40A:9-133, with continuing education maintained in good standing thereafter. Prior experience in a New Jersey municipal clerk's office is strongly preferred. High school diploma required. Strong Microsoft Office skills required. Municipal Clerk –Clinton Township.

Population 13,505. Seeking full-time Municipal Clerk, 35 hours per week. Deputy Borough Clerk/Treasurer/Planning Board Secretary - Swedesboro Borough.

Deputy Municipal Clerk – East Orange City.

Deputy Municipal Clerk – Mantoloking Borough.

Full-time The ideal candidate will possess a Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) Certificate and Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR) Designation. A Notary Public designation is desirable, but not required. Candidates who do not currently hold these certifications must be willing to complete the certification requirements.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. The position requires strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, as well as the ability to assist with municipal website updates as needed. Deputy Municipal Clerk - Maple Shade Township.

Is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and professional individual to serve as a Part-Time Deputy Municipal Clerk. This position averages 24 hours per week, with a schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 4 days per week, including a one-hour unpaid lunch, and offers a starting salary of $27.00 per hour. The position is being filled in preparation for an anticipated retirement and provides a unique opportunity to work alongside the Municipal Clerk while receiving hands-on training in all aspects of the Clerk's Office. It is the Township's intention that the successful candidate assume the role of Municipal Clerk upon the current Clerk's retirement, subject to successful completion of all required certification requirements and appointment by the Township Council.
